Retrofit Coordination

  1. The position of Retrofit Coordinator is essential for all retrofit initiatives conducted in accordance with PAS 2035, a requirement that is fully endorsed by the government and TrustMark. This role is pivotal in ensuring that retrofit projects not only meet regulatory standards but also achieve their intended energy efficiency and sustainability goals. The Retrofit Coordinator serves as a central figure in the retrofit process, collaborating closely with a diverse range of professionals, including retrofit assessors, designers, clients, and various stakeholders. This collaboration is crucial, as it ensures that all parties are aligned in their objectives and that the project is executed smoothly from start to finish. The Retrofit Coordinator is responsible for facilitating communication among these groups, addressing any concerns that may arise, and ensuring that everyone is informed about the project's progress and any changes that may occur. One of the key responsibilities of the Retrofit Coordinator is to conduct thorough risk assessments for the proposed measures. This involves identifying potential challenges and obstacles that could impact the project's success, as well as evaluating the feasibility of different retrofit options. By assessing risks early in the process, the Retrofit Coordinator can develop medium-term improvement plans that outline strategies for overcoming these challenges and optimising the project's outcomes. Additionally, they are tasked with option evaluations, which involve analysing various retrofit solutions to determine the most effective and efficient approaches for achieving the desired results.
